Immune
Thymulin
Thymulin (formerly known as serum thymic factor or FTS) is a zinc-dependent nonapeptide hormone secreted by thymic epithelial cells. It requires a zinc ion for biological activity and plays an essential role in T-cell maturation, differentiation, and immune surveillance. Circulating thymulin levels decline with age and thymic involution, and research has investigated its supplementation for immune reconstitution and anti-aging applications.

Dosing Protocols
| Goal | Dose | Frequency | Route | Cycle | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Immune Support | 3 mg | 1x/day | subcutaneous | 1 weeks on / 13 weeks off | 1-5mg daily subcutaneous. 5-10 day cycles with monthly to quarterly breaks. Zinc-dependent metallopeptide - requires adequate zinc status for biological activity. |
| Anti-Inflammatory (Animal Research) | single or short course | subcutaneous | Continuous | 15 mcg/100g body weight in animal models. PAT analog at 25-50mcg per rat abolished TNF-alpha increase. Very short serum half-life (~10 minutes). |

How do I reconstitute Thymulin?
Add bacteriostatic water to your Thymulin vial (common sizes: 2mg, 3mg, 5mg, 10mg). The amount of BAC water depends on your desired concentration. Use our reconstitution calculator for exact measurements.
What is the typical dose of Thymulin?
A common dose for Thymulin is 3 mg 1x/day via subcutaneous. 1-5mg daily subcutaneous. 5-10 day cycles with monthly to quarterly breaks. Zinc-dependent metallopeptide - requires adequate zinc status for biological activity.
What is the half-life of Thymulin?
The half-life of Thymulin is approximately 10 minutes. This determines how long the peptide remains active in your body and influences dosing frequency.
How should I store Thymulin?
Store Thymulin at 2-8°C (refrigerated). Zinc-dependent peptide; biological activity requires the presence of zinc. Store lyophilized powder refrigerated. Reconstituted solutions may lose potency if zinc dissociates. Once reconstituted, use within 14 days.
Is Thymulin FDA approved?
Thymulin is not FDA approved and is available for research purposes only. It has not been evaluated by the FDA for safety or efficacy in humans.
