Anti-Inflammatory
VIP
Vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) is a 28-amino-acid neuropeptide widely distributed throughout the central and peripheral nervous systems and the gastrointestinal tract. It functions as a potent vasodilator and immunomodulator, inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokine production through VPAC1 and VPAC2 receptor signaling. Research has investigated its therapeutic potential in chronic inflammatory and autoimmune conditions including pulmonary hypertension, CIRS, and inflammatory bowel disease.

Start Tracking — FreeCommon Questions
How do I reconstitute VIP?
Add bacteriostatic water to your VIP vial (common sizes: 5mg). The amount of BAC water depends on your desired concentration. Use our reconstitution calculator for exact measurements.
What is the typical dose of VIP?
A common dose for VIP is 50 mcg 4x/day (4-8 sprays/day) via intranasal. 50mcg per spray. Corrected inflammatory markers refractory to other therapies. Requires first-dose medical supervision with lab monitoring.
What is the half-life of VIP?
The half-life of VIP is approximately 30 minutes. This determines how long the peptide remains active in your body and influences dosing frequency.
How should I store VIP?
Store VIP at -20°C (frozen). Relatively unstable peptide that degrades rapidly in solution. Store lyophilized powder at -20°C. Prepare fresh reconstituted solutions frequently. Intranasal and subcutaneous routes are used in research. Once reconstituted, use within 14 days.
Is VIP FDA approved?
VIP is not FDA approved and is available for research purposes only. It has not been evaluated by the FDA for safety or efficacy in humans.
